Carys' TV career began with a BAFTA Award for her work on the children's show 'Scoop'. She stayed at ITV in Leeds working as an Edit Assistant on other shows like 'Adams Family Tree' and the documentary 'A Big Hand for Sooty' celebrating Sooty's 50th birthday. She then went on to work on Emmerdale.

Carys' presenting career began in radio with the best show: Breakfast. At Wish FM in Greater Manchester she helped double the audience within six months.

From there she moved to a regional show across the North West with TV’s Andy Crane on 105.4 Century FM, and was then poached by Emap to take her Breakfast know-how to the drivetime show on TFM in the North East.

Within a year, the station was named Station of the Year in the 2005 CRCA Awards. Whilst at Emap, Carys also had regular shows on the Yorkshire stations of Radio Aire and Viking FM.

Carys has carried out voice-over work for several clients including Aviva, World Duty Free for all UK airports, the Extreme Sports TV network and has also been the station voice for New York’s Hit Music station Z100.

Carys then headed south and a return to early starts for breakfast at Heart Cambridge which has since seen a 30% increase in audience. Richard Park rated the Cambridge breakfast show was one of the best within Global Radio.

Carys’ passion for horses has seen her front media campaigns in TV, radio and press for the internationally acclaimed charity World Horse Welfare. Carys says: “horses have always been a huge part of my life and it’s an honour to help such a worthy cause”

Carys has used her network of contacts within the entertainment industry to secure numerous celebrity interviews, from West End musical stars such as Mel C to JLS.

Carys has now made the move back in to television but this time in front of the camera.
